Simon's Town, Simon's Town, South Africa As the headquarters of the South African Navy, Simonstown must be the most protected town in South Africa. It is home to most of the Naval Fleet including its' submarines. Keep a look out for Naval vessels at the docks or if you are lucky to see them out at sea in the bay.
Cape Point Nature Reserve, Cape Town Central, South Africa This is the epicenter of our trip and we spend most of our time exploring the myriad of treasures this reserve has to offer. From hiking to the lookout point at the lighthouse with its' awesome views to interacting with the local baboon troupe. Keep a lookout for the rare Cape Mountain Zebra. This is an interactive part of the trip so if you spot something you would like to take a closer look at let the driver know and we will stop. We also visit the point of the Cape of Good Hope which for 100's of years was negotiated by mariners who also called it the Cape of Storms. The visit includes two museums, the first at Buffelsfontein, the original farm at Cape Point and the second on the way up to the lookout point. This is a trip not to miss out on as we do not only visit the main tourist attritions but venture off the beaten track and have a "locals only" experience. 300 minutes
Sun Valley, Sun Valley, South Africa On our way home we travel to the other side of the peninsula passing towns like Misty Cliffs, Scarborough and Kommetjie. View the impressive Slangkop lighthouse and cross the mountains via Ou Kaapse Weg before joining the highway to home.
